Successful candidates will be invited to an Assessment Day on Friday 17th July 2020 held at Carew House in Bodmin. Please note this will be either a morning or afternoon session to be confirmed.

An opportunity has arisen for a 30hr post working within a busy Minor Injury Unit at Falmouth Hospital. This is a new post requiring the successful candidate to carry out minor injury treatments such as dressings, plastering, general observations and triage.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an urgent care/MIU environment and will have completed MIU skills/triage workbooks . An ability to work under pressure in an emergency setting and a willingness to undertake further skills training is essential.

We are also inviting Band 2 candidates without urgent care/MIU experience who are willing to undergo job specific training, to apply for a developmental post. This post will eventually lead to Band 3 following successful completion of MIU/triage skills workbooks.

The MIU is open from 08.00-20.00, 7 days a week and shifts will include working long days, weekends and bank holidays.

Visits to the MIU prior to applying are welcomed.
