DIO – iHub Information Manager

The Information Manager (iMgr) advises and supports the Senior Information Office (SIO) and is responsible for ensuring information is captured, stored, distributed, used, retained, and disposed of, in accordance with the law, MOD and DIO policy. The iMgr is supported by the iHub and oversees its operation in support of the organisation.

Post Locations



1. Maintaining familiarity with Defence and TLB Information Management (IM) policy and protocols and supporting the Senior Information Officer (SIO) in the establishment of the Organisation, delivering IM maturity improvements and assisting with the implementation of incoming information capability enhancements.

2. Establishing the TLB’s information storage and collaborative workspace requirements, including access rights, permissions and retention policies.

3. Directing their iHub team to deliver effective IM, including the creation of O365 workspaces and maintenance of MODNet User Accounts, ensuring processes, procedures and electronic ways of working conform to legal requirements.

4. Managing stakeholder expectations and agreeing priorities to meet the TLB's needs.

5. Ensure local records management instructions are adhered to in accordance with MOD policy.

Essential Requirements
  • Working within a Knowledge and Information Management role
  • Experience of successfully managing a high and varied workload

Desirable Requirements
  • Project Management and Delivery experience.

Travel Requirements
Travel to DIO Sutton Coldfield and Wyton will be required. Similarly, the post holder will be required to travel to other MOD locations across the UK.

CIO has three key pillars; Customer Support Services, Design and Assurance and the Delivery and Operations. This post is within the Delivery and Operations pillar.
