Vice President - Charles River Investment Compliance

The Ocean Partnership has been engaged to recruit an exciting opportunity to join a global investment management organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a global team with some of the best investment compliance and technology professionals within the industry.
As the Charles River Investment Compliance Vice President, you will business partner with a range of investment professionals, technology stakeholder and third party vendor organisations. In addition, you will take a leading role in the interpretation of investment guidelines and monitoring of trade breeches.

Key Remits:
  • Partnering with investment professionals to gather regulatory, legal and process workflow business requirements.
  • Interpretation of investment guidelines and review of investment management agreements.
  • Writing and testing of compliance rules using the Charles river, CRD, CRIMS, restriction checking software.
  • Advising investment and compliance stakeholders of best practices to ensure solution finding and compliance.
  • Maintaining a robust understanding of the changing dynamics and impact arising from regulatory changes.
  • Assisting with the review and update of compliance policies and procedures.
Required Experience:
  • Proven investment guideline and rule coding experience gained from within as investment management firm.
  • Expert knowledge of all investment types. Experience with complex derivatives instruments would be useful.
  • Strong experience of using investment management compliance rule coding technologies.
  • Knowledge of investment workflows, configuration, rule writing and testing, reporting and exception investigation.
  • Excellent project management and user facing experience with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong regulatory knowledge including UCITS III or IV, The Investment Company Act of 1940, and National Instrument 81-102.
  • Experience interpreting and implementing regulations such as UCITS 3, Solvency II or other regulatory frameworks.
