    Summary

    About the Position: You will serve as a Government Special Access Program (SAP) Security Officer in the area of implementation of Special Access Programs and Special Compartmented Information Facilities security procedures and operating policies.

    The pay band DJ-04 is equal to the former GS- 14 step 01 through GS- 15 step 10.


    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with Program Security Officer and Customer?s Special Access Programs Security Specialists leadership to assist with the resolution of issues.
    • Manage all program security disciplines such as Intelligence & Threat Support, Foreign Disclosure, Sensitive Compartmented Information Security, Intelligence & Security Inspection Program, Security Education & Counterintelligence.
    • Serve as a supervisor responsible for managing the administrative and/or technical work of the organization.
    • Present recommendations through written and verbal presentations.

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position. Temporary duty travel up to 25% of the time.

    • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret/SCI security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
    • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
    • A two year probationary period may be required in accordance with agency policy.
    • A one year supervisory probationary period may be required in accordance with agency policy.
    • This Position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.     Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Administering security programs to include Special Access Program (SAP); and 2) Executing security policies and procedures; and 3) Providing leadership guidance, assigning work, providing evaluation support, direction, or training to junior personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DJ-03, Category 1 or GS-11 or above).
