Support Worker

Riverside have a new opportunity for a Support Worker, working full-time, on a permanent basis.

Who you'll be helping

Supporting vulnerable women since 1926, Queen Mary has developed into a service specialising in mental health recovery. We offer accommodation and support for homeless women aged from 25 with complex needs, including mental health issues.

What will you do?

The Support Worker is responsible for the delivery of individual, positive outcome focused support packages to clients of Riverside's supported schemes and ensuring that the support service promotes empowerment and independence. It is imperative to work as part of a staff team committed to “best practice” in the social housing field working proactively with clients in achieving their personalised support outcomes..

Day to day

Your key responsibilities as a Queen Mary Pathway Support Worker will include:

  • Deliver a flexible and asset-based support approach, reflective of different customer needs, including:
  • Self-assessment of person-centred needs, strengths, aspirations and risk.
  • Co-produce tailored support plans and bespoke move on plans alongside customers.
  • Identify SMART objectives, milestones and actions with customers support them to meet their goals.
  • Adopt a psychologically informed approach to delivering support, empowering customers to have choice and control and to drive the support they receive.
  • Engage customers to meet agreed actions by promoting empowerment, independence and delivering appropriate support interventions.
