Job Summary
This is a one year limited term position and is funded from external sources. Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds.

The Health Outcomes Research and Policy department of the Harrison College of Pharmacy is currently accepting applications for a Research Assistant II/III position. The individual will use basic knowledge of public health, health services and/or social science principles to assist researchers in analyzing, developing, implementing and promoting innovative strategies and solutions to address public health issues and challenges. The current research programs aim to improve access to affordable medical care and increase immunization uptake, and planning, maintaining or completing research programs and/or projects.

Essential Functions
  • Assist in the development of project proposals, plans and protocols
  • Manage project websites including maintaining blogs and writing newsletters
  • Design educational materials and writes newsletter articles
  • Coordinate and assist with logistical considerations to include supplies, materials and labor needs.
  • Track progress toward completion of project deliverables on time.
  • Assist with research participant recruitment, data collection and analyses.
  • May collaborate with external organizations to develop action plans and goals to achieve specific objectives
  • May assist in the preparation of research results for publication or presentation
  • May instruct and/or supervise students

Minimum Education and Experience

Education Level
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Field of Study
Public health, health education, psychology, social science or related fields

Requirements for Additional Job Levels
Level III -bachelor’s degree in the disciplines listed above plus 4 years’ experience in research practices and protocols.
