Location: Head Office, Holborn

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Creative Education Trust is a leading national multi-academy trust. Its work is focussed on improving standards of education and life chances for young people in challenged communities in the Midlands and on the East Coast.

We seek a highly organised Administration Officer to join our Head Office team based in Holborn, London. Working directly with the Governance and Compliance Manager, this role will provide well-organised support on General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) compliance in addition to providing support to our Local Governing Bodies and Head Office team.

  • Record and log the receipt of Freedom of Information (FOI) and Subject Access Requests (SARs) received by the Trust.
  • Support in the co-ordination of collating information from key resources, ensuring that strict deadlines are adhered to.
  • Support the checking of information received to ensure relevance and redacting of any information outside the remit of the request.
  • Provide guidance to Data Protection Leads within the Trust.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of training sessions across the Trust


  • Provide administrative support to Trust Board, Academy Councils and Rapid Improvement boards, including the dissemination of papers and the recording of accurate minutes.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration and accurate record keeping of Creative Education Trust training systems
  • Provide additional support to the Head Office team by answering phone, arranging meetings and providing hospitality to visitors.
  • Diary management of Head Office employees and Trust Board members and making arrangements for and travel or meeting requirements.
  • Maintaining an accurate and organised electronic filing system of key documents.
  • Carry out any such duties as may be reasonably required by the Creative Education Trust
  • There may occasionally be a requirement to travel to academies in the Group.

  • Qualified to A level or equivalent.



  • Demonstrable experience of working as an administrator.
  • Experience of taking accurate and succinct minutes of meetings.


  • Experience of working in the education sector



  • Working knowledge of GDPR


  • Knowledge of organisational governance.



  • Strong administration skills and the ability to maintain and implement effective systems
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands effectively
  • The ability to write clearly and concisely, to produce and maintain documents and to effectively proof read material for public distribution.

  • Computer literate, with experience of data handling and necessary IT systems (including PowerPoint, diary management using Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word).
