eCommerce Marketing Specialist

Trinchero Family Estates is looking for an energetic yet detail-oriented eCommerce Marketing Specialist who is excited to join a fast-growing team in the alcoholic beverage online space. This position is responsible for organizing, managing and monitoring performance of consumer-focused content that is positioned to drive customer acquisition, engagement, conversion and retention. The scope of this role is wide and spans many areas of the business, including but not limited to content marketing, merchandising, digital marketing, user-experience and loyalty. As the online landscape continues to evolve at a rapid pace, it is critical that this person is the definition of a team player who can adapt and manage through change in order to meet the needs of our consumers.

Essential Functions:

  • Support TFE’s growing web presence which currently includes several single-brand sites, 7 webstores and 1 multi-brand site in all aspects of content, commerce and experience.
  • Develop a deep expertise of the brands, their consumers, and their products to present a compelling story online and maximize revenue and conversion.
  • Oversee & manage content calendars, brief creation, creative review, asset hand off & QA/approval across all websites.
  • Coordinate with brand, digital, wine club and tasting room teams for messaging and calendar alignment as it relates to seasonal objectives, key initiatives and available assets that will be used to generate effective content.
  • Work with the Email Marketing Coordinator to develop a high performing email marketing program.
  • Develop fresh, consumer-relevant content (site redesigns, homepages, gateways, landing pages) that drives conversion while highlighting products, contests, promotions, events and partnerships.
  • Secure approvals from key stakeholders for all content prior to delivery or placement.
  • Implement regular content updates across all sites and support brand online stores as needed (CMS familiarity a plus!)
  • Ensure that content is consistent and linked across multiple consumer touch points, including websites, wine clubs, tasting rooms, email, social and online advertising.


  • Responsible for product setup and ongoing maintenance across all webstores.
  • Manage all product page content, including writing & populating all product descriptions, alternate views, videos, tab content, x-sell strategy and promotional messages.
  • Determine and execute site taxonomy and style categorization to facilitate product browsing and conversion.
  • Focus on device merchandising to fully optimize the user experience.
  • Support enhanced SEO.
  • Create categories to support linked content via website, email, social and online advertising.
  • Manage on site search & search merchandising.
  • Recommend, set up, test and execute promotions to maximize revenue and achieve gross margin targets.
  • Recommend & execute on-site personalization opportunities.


  • Weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting on eCommerce KPIs and performance trends.
  • Research the current landscape to identify testing and program opportunities.
  • Leverage program data and website analytics to shape content and merchandising strategies.
  • Research the marketplace and competitive set for trends and new ideas related to the online consumer shopping experience, website and product presentation.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Marketing.
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably online/consumer direct.
  • A digitally-savvy, strategic thinker, with a passion for eCommerce and an understanding of eCommerce KPIs.
  • Knowledge and experience in eCommerce marketing strategies including SEO/SEM, paid search and digital advertising, affiliate marketing and e-mail marketing in addition to basic sales and marketing management.
  • A high energy, positive attitude with the drive and motivation to constantly be improving the online experience for Trinchero Family Estates’ portfolio of brands.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A strong work ethic matched with a natural curiosity and the desire to innovate.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple goals and projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to respond to last minute requests and pivot to the needs of the business.
  • Hands-on project management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms (WineDirect), Email Marketing Tools (Premier Cellar), Web Analytics Programs (Google Analytics, Omniture), Content Management Systems and Photoshop preferred.
  • Prior experience in wine or hospitality a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Regular working schedule to include occasional weekends and holidays.
  • Long and irregular hours during peak seasons and/or special events.
  • Work site at times may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities.
  • Ability to lift at least 45 pounds (case of wine).
